Installation steps of linear guide

2021 09/24

(1) Before installing the linear guide, carefully check and clean the burrs, dirt and surface scars on the worktable of the installation machine. The linear guide rails are coated with anti-rust oil before installation, please wipe them clean with cleaning oil before installation. The datum surface after the anti-rust oil is removed is easy to rust. Bot Seiko recommends applying a low-viscosity spindle lubricant.

(2) After gently placing the main rail on the base, use lateral fixing screws or other fixing fixtures to lightly fit the wire rail and the lateral mounting surface. Use clean assembly bolts to fix the linear guide before installation. At the same time, when inserting the assembly bolts into the mounting holes of the linear guide, please confirm in advance whether the bolt holes match. If the holes do not fit and the bolts are forcibly screwed in, the accuracy will be reduced.

(3) Tighten the stop screws of the linear guide from the distal end to the proximal end in order to make the track abut the horizontal installation surface. Use a torque wrench to tighten the assembly bolts to the specified torque. The tightening sequence of the linear guide assembly bolts is to tighten them in order from the center position to the shaft end, so that stable accuracy can be obtained.

(4) The remaining linear guides are also installed in the same way until the installation is completed.

(5) Drive the hole cover into the assembly bolt hole until it is on the same plane as the top surface of the linear guide.

Bot Seiko linear guides are mainly used in automated machinery, mainly for mechanical structures with high precision requirements. Let's take a look at the application areas of linear guides in detail:

1. Linear guides are mainly used in automated machinery, such as machine tools imported from Germany, bending machines, laser welding machines, etc. Of course, linear guides and linear axes are matched.

2. Linear guides are mainly used in mechanical structures with relatively high precision requirements. There is no intermediate medium between the moving and fixed components of the linear guide, but rolling steel balls. Because the rolling steel ball is suitable for high-speed motion, has a small friction coefficient and high sensitivity, it can meet the working requirements of moving parts, such as the tool holder and carriage of the machine tool. If the force acting on the steel ball is too large, the steel ball will withstand the preload for too long, resulting in an increase in the movement resistance of the bracket.
